God

We believe in the divine existence of one God, the creator of the heavens, the earth and all things, who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. God created you and made you in His Image. He is all powerful, all wise, and all present. This incredible God wants us to know Him personally, wants us to call Him Father, and wants us to know how much He loves us!

(Matthew 28:19; John 1:1,14; John 14:26; 1 Peter 1:2)

Jesus Christ

We believe in Jesus Christ, God’s one and only son. He is God in flesh, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of a virgin, and lived a perfect and sinless life performing miracles and proclaiming the kingdom of God. He was unjustly condemned by humankind and willingly sacrificed Himself, dying upon a cross for the redemption of sins for all who would repent and accept His forgiveness. He was buried in a borrowed tomb for three days and was resurrected from the dead before ascending to heaven. Salvation from sin is only offered through Jesus and He is the only way to the Father. He sits at the right hand of the Father and will come to earth again to receive those who have accepted His salvation.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit. The Spirit is God at work in the world today and bears witness to our salvation and equips the believer with the power to live an obedient life. The Holy Spirit equips with abilities, talents, gifts and resources to build up the church and tell the whole world about Jesus.

The Bible

We Believe in the Bible, the Old and New Testament, as God’s Holy Word. It was given to humankind through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and is composed of all truth necessary for faith and living a Christian life and is the final authority for Christian doctrine. The Bible reveals God’s plan for humankind. Everything we believe and practice must be founded in the truths of the Bible.

Humankind/Sin/Death

Humankind having both flesh and spirit, were created by God in His perfect image. As humans, we defied God through our own disobedience manifested by following our sinful nature. This disobedience, or sin, has separated us from God and the penalty for that disobedience is death and separation from God.

(Gen. 1:26-27; Romans 3:20 & 6:23; Heb 9:27-28)

Salvation Through Grace

Grace is not only forgiveness for sins, a pardon for our punishment, but it is also an abundance of God’s favor. It is His love, His specific attentions, His gift of Himself in the Holy Spirit, His unrelenting working within us into His likeness.

(John 3:16; Acts 2:38; Romans 3:23, 10:9; 1 John 1:9)

Baptism

We believe in baptism by immersion, and everyone who is willing to repent of their sins and confess their belief in Christ should be baptized. We ask those being baptized to confess their belief and trust in God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and ask the person to commit to following the Lord faithfully in obedience in baptism and their daily walk with Christ. The act of baptism cannot save an individual. We are saved only through accepting the grace of Jesus Christ through His sacrifice on the cross.

Heaven, Hell, and Satan

God is an eternal God. Our hearts know we are made for eternity because God created us to be eternal with Him. Through the sacrificial death of Jesus our sins can be forgiven, and we can be with Him forever. This eternal home with Jesus is called heaven. However, God does not force Himself on us. Coerced love is perverse love and that is NOT The Lord. That is something else. There is an enemy who goes by many names but one of the most used is Satan or the Devil. He is real, and he is raging war against the Lord and His followers. He is so evil that a place called Hell was created for him and his demons. Hell is real, Hell is eternal, and Hell was not made for us. It is a place of separation, isolation, despair, hopelessness, and torment.

The Church, Fellowship

We believe in the church. The church is instituted by God to evangelize, disciple, worship and serve. It is a unified body of all believers in Jesus Christ and is crucial in spreading the Gospel message and training believers for spiritual growth.

Faith & Prayer

Faith is trust in The Lord within all areas of life. Whether it be physical, emotional, social, financial, or Spiritual. It is NOT blind, irrational, belief. God has given us countless evidence for our trust in Him. Building our faith requires a relationship of communication, which is prayer. As followers of God, we can commune with Him during our greatest times, our hardest times, and everything in-between. Prayer is the lifeblood of our relationship with Jesus.
